Rest of the week

Can't remember a lot of the details, but have been playing a lot of ball and climbing a lot of stairs:
  • Wednesday: Run + Stepper + life arms
  • Thursday: VB + run + stepper + lift legs
  • Friday: VB + run + stepper + jump rope
  • Saturday: Art Museum run, 30min stepper, 1mi cooldown
  • Tonight: 6mi treadmill run in 43min.
All this lifting and stepping has given me a few new fast gears. Everything feels good now.

Two weeks and two days

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind in more ways than one (Pigs what?! :-) I did something active most days in Boulder, San Francisco, and around Palo Alto, but can't remember them all. Some highlights:
  • Hard treadmill workout at hotel on the first night in SF
  • Many runs down the Embarcadero (one fast one with J--each of us pushing hard trying to keep up with the other), tough finish up to Nob Hill along Powell
  • Two vb games with Wharton West kids
  • Few runs out up over Fort Mason and out by Crissy Field; one long one onto the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Long walk in/around Berkeley with R
  • Bike ride across Golden Gate Bridge and around Marin headlands
  • Bike ride up over the ridge and through Big Basin, ending in Santa Cruz
  • Morning run through Menlo Park / Palo Alto, getting lost around Stanford dish
  • Walk through Palo Alto with C, meeting Oma
And now, home in Philly, and heading to Pottruck, but I'll be back: Bay to Breakers in May for sure, and maybe SFM??

New Years Day: Ran 6mi, Sweet Briar Loop

Jan 2: travel to Boulder, DNR.

Jan 3: 12mi running behind mom on the bike (in picture).
